Updates 2008-07-12

CatHug got several updates Saturday 2008-07-12. These are the main ones:

New buttons

The buttons are more 3D. But if you have any idea of more cat-like colours, let us know!

The right column

The right column is totally re-organized. The important stuff is more to the top now. The bookmark-button is placed on top right instead of somewhere on the page.

There are generally less ads for logged in members now. You have a big ugly ad right on top of your house though, but those ads should be targetted to what you have written in your house, so it can't only be bad... (Says the greedy king who wants all your gold!)

Small stuff

You have a button for a random wiki-page, you can comment on a diary note in your own diary, you get hints if the one you're commenting on in a forum is a member of an other forum where you might want to place a reply, members automatically watch wiki-pages they comment on, you can watch the comments to polls, and there are many more estetic fixes, bigger textareas and such.

Last visitors

You now have to click on "Add me" to get added to the last visitor list, so you'll get fewer people there, but you'll know the ones you get have actually pressed that button. There is also a last visited page, so that people can see if you have been a good CatHugger and visited many presentations.

Previews

You now have preview-buttons so that you can check how the pseudo-HTML looks like before submitting it.

Mood history

Your mood-editing have moved to your house. But you'll get history of the previous moods your friends have had. So if someone writes "I went there", you can see it afterwards even if you weren't active at the site at that moment.

Please comment on this page if something isn't perfect! There are probably loads of bugs and mis-features because the upgrade is so extensive.

2008-07-13 [Faith.Hope.Love]: First, I think the 'neon' Cathug is cool. Now my computer screen can glow back at me when I'm on Cathug. ;) However, the 'Moods' button is over to far to the right & if I would want to click on it, I'd have to scroll all the way to the bottom of the column to use the slider tool (or whatever that's called) to move the column to the left, so I can scroll all the way back up to the top to use the 'Moods' button. I don't mind the ads, but why not under the column, like they were? You can fit more under the column than you can in the top of the houses. They aren't intrusive under the column, either. :/

2008-07-15 [Faith.Hope.Love]: Why is it when I visit a house, there is no ad & almost all of the presentation page loads UNDER the column. I think it may be due to the extra button, the 'start watching this presentation button' which isn't there in one's own house. My own house loads normally, but not anyone else's. :P My setting is at 1024 x 768 & I'm using Firefox 3.

2008-07-15 [AuroraLumos]: It does that on mine too, I'm on IE7.

2008-07-16 [Hedda]: Get a bigger window or shrink it's contents!

2008-07-16 [Faith.Hope.Love]: Gee, I've never had to do such a thing before, make any thing bigger or shrink anything. Some things aren't so good 'shrunk'. ;P

2008-07-17 [Faith.Hope.Love]: ...Besides 1024 x 768 is about as small as I can go. I already have my nose on the screen. Any smaller & my face will be inside the moniter! <_< O_O ;)

I think this is rather odd, the ad strip in the middle of the column. 'Course maybe you want it there? O..O It doesn't happen all the time. It happened in 'your' house, Headda, though. 8-)

2008-07-28 [Hedda]: Why is your text so huge? I think you're having a font-problem. Maybe you have selected a minimum font size somewhere.

2008-07-30 [Faith.Hope.Love]: Hmm...This page didn't come up under 'wiki comments' and I have it on watch. I came here now to tell you that the houses are no longer loading 'under' the column and I haven't noticed any more strips displayed in the middle of the columns.

My text is huge? It's been like this for like...as long as I know? My daughter might have originally set it. I dunno. This is my MF font window:

The 'minimum font size' you speak of is set at 14 apparently. But...I can't see very good, either, so I can't have things too small. <img:kittyemo_perplexed.gif>

2008-08-04 [Faith.Hope.Love]: Ok, this isn't a big deal, but on Myaustreet, I'm seeing 2 Featured Member boxes, both FM's: #2 ([5thwitch]) and #3 ([Ms. JuJu]). :P

2008-08-05 [Faith.Hope.Love]: I guess we're supposed to be seeing 2 now of each feature on Myaustreet. I like 2! :) Whatever you did, the font is that 'nicely sleek' font here, too. What a difference it makes! <img:kittyemo_smile.gif>
