I've noticed a lot of the old hoaxes doing the rounds again. If you get an email and you're unsure if it's a hoax or not, go to www.bighoaxes.com which has a great long list of them.
All email petitions are either hoaxes or pointless to sign anyway, as the names can't be verified. So ignore those.
