I didn't mean having more species...I meant 'lesser' as in 'less important', 'less intelligent', 'less "good" in general'...as in cats are superior!

Besides, cats have a high brain-to-body weight ratio, which is what determines intelligence.

It's probably not safe to say they're more intelligent, but it's what I'd like to believe!

My kitty was an indoor kitty for most of her life -- she never went outside without a leash on, and then only in the back yard (we strung up a kitty-run so that the kitties could have full access to the back yard, but not get out of it).

One day she saw our outdoor cat leaving out the front door, and made a dash for it! Zoom! She got about halfway down the front walk and froze... what was all this stuff??!? Then a car went past -- and ZOOM! back into the house. We couldn't get her to come out from under the bed for about three hours.

When my mom moved in with my stepdad, when she was about 10 (my kitty, not my mom!), they lived in a very quiet, kitty-safe neighborhood, so they let her go out. She hated the cat flap (although sometimes she'd brave it to get to sit on a warm car!) but when they let the other kitties out the front door, she'd sometimes follow... never got further than the front porch, though. :)

All cats are humans with fur and fangs. And slightly lower IQ levels.

My cat was abandoned a couple years ago, and he lived under someones house for a while, then the local human society picked him up, and shorly after they posted his info on a illboard downtown, my sis and I say it and fell in love. We begged our parents to let us adopt him, and my parents were very reluctant. Then my mom and I secretly went to check him out, and we fell even more in love. his current name was silvester for he's a tuxedo, but when we though of a name, he responded to none but jack, so we kept it at that. Now he lives with us, and he fits right in. He's annoying, talks back, fat, cute, gets hyper, is eccentric, lovable (once you get to know him), and is anti- social.

Anti-social with humans or other cats?

My cat Taxi thinks she's a dog, and hisses at the other cats just for being somewhat close to her...she adores humans though, and sleeps on my dog's bed with him!

other animals. He doesn't mind humans, but anything else will make his mouth open like a snakes. It's like he dislocates his jaw, he kinda looks like a crocodile when he does it.
