The strange minds of cats...what is it about early mornings and serenades...often when I wake up I get a concert of mauws, why are they so convinced it gets them their food faster? Maybe I like serenades! Would be very cruel though, to torture them like that!

We lock my cat Ginny out at night so she doesn't bring in the results of her hunting- although we let her stay in the kitchen in winter. She has now worked out that if she headbutts the catflap enough times and with enough force (I'm not joking here!) then the little latch that holds it in place will pop out, she can shove against the catflap, the entirety of the lock will come out and she can get in. Why? So she can wake us up. She thinks it makes us feed her faster too...sadly, to get her to shut up, she ends up being right. I really need to buy a new, more secure catflap. At least now I can can explain why not when someone tells me cats are stupid...

Usually we don't get them their food faster actually, we just yell through the door! But then they yell back..so it's quite some activity going on!

Oh yes...bringing presents...now our one cat is a bit more egotistical..he doesn't bring it back to give it to us: he brings it back so we can witness his brutal murder of a mouse..on a good night even three times..no use in trying to save the mouse: he will run away with it as soon as you approach him.
so we witness him play with it and then gobble it all up, bonecracks and mushy sounds are extra features!

He also likes to eat the puke of our other cat >_<

Thank Bast (Egyptian cat-headed goddess!) that Ginny doesn't do that.
Probably the most disgusting thing she ever did, though, was put a dead mouse alongside a load of soft toys we had lying around the houe, most of them about mouse-sized.
It took us a week to find it.

Sonic even tries to clean the apartment by covering all food with clean cloth and stuff...

Pretty annoying.

Ginny likes to eat when a human is in the room. So I feed her, go upstairs, and she mews and mews for me to come back down and feed her...and then when I do, she rediscovers the food and happily tucks in. Cats have strange minds.

My cat is usually asleep on my bed in the morning, all sprawled out, looking thin for once. Then he gets up and goes to the bathroom. "WATCH OUT! THE HORSE IS LOOSE!" I keep thinking to myself cuz he is NOT quiet, especially after he does his thing cuz then he's all like, "I'M FREE, I'M FREE!" and gets all hyper. He races up the stairs, into to my room, skids to a stop, cries, we call to him, he races back down the stairs, and chases after dust bunnies under our rug, crashes into the couch, or tries to jump from the couch to his spot on the shelf like he normally does, but winds up smashing into that, then runs back upstaris in to the guest room and messes around down there, making all kinds of sounds. All of this happens in about 5 minutes.

My cat talks back to my mom all the time. He's like doing something he's not suppose to (like trying to get into the pantry) she yells at him, he then is all like, "but I'm not doing nothing." and gives her the cute little puss in boots eyes.
