So this guy in Wisconsin came up with a brainchild idea. He wants to make it legal to shoot cats. It upsets him that when he looks outside on a nice snowy morning to look at his birds, there are cat tracks in the snow. Why would someone want to kill a cat?! It isn't their fault that they don't have a warm home, steady supply of food, and a loving family! Why wouldn't you want to HELP them! What good would shooting them do! This actually made it onto the bill this year. It might get approved...and then what!

I'm sorry :( This just really upset me and I had to vent about it. My cats are my kids! I'd probably end up shooting the guy who shot my cat if that makes its way to Maryland.

I hope that law doesn't make it...I'd much rather see strays taken to the local shelter and have a chance at a good, loving home rather than being set out somewhere.

And right now, there just isn’t enough room in my lap for both the keyboard and Lola (somebody forgot to tell her she's too big to be a lapdog!)

I don't like the idea of shooting cats, but I can understand that there are places where cats can be seen as a problem

In my opinion people's respect for cats must be improved. If people valued cats more there wouldn't be stray cats. And idiots wouldn't feel they need to shoot them.

When it comes to cats that have a home it's the owner's responsibility to keep track of their cats. If there are other people living in the area maybe the cat should stay indoors and be taken out only in a leash or under supervision. After all stuff like cat poop isn't nice when found on children's playground.

A friend of a friend has cats and can't let them outdoors, because they would get shot. This is in Britain, where that's illegal, but she's already had one cat shot and nobody wants to do anything about it. So the cats can only go outside if on a lead. It's awful.

It is awful. In my opinion most humans can't be trusted and I would never let any of my cats out without supervision. The world is much too dangerous for little cats. I was worried sick when [kali] sneaked away from [Hedda] and was gone 1 night.
