2005-02-02 [Nita]: Umm... All images are copyrighted by default, even those that are made by yourself, so C doesn't make much sense in this context, IMO... :)
2005-04-20 [nokaredes]: I think I heard someone say that pictures of your car aren't allowed. Is that true?
2005-04-21 [Sunrose]: This is CatHug, not CarHug. :)
2005-08-07 [Miss Lilu]: ASCII images are not mentioned in the uploading art rules here but are mentioned when you are reporting a member of cathug. Dose the ASCII rule apply to cathug yet?
2005-08-07 [Sunrose]: Yes :)
2006-01-07 [some sexy random]: erm these r boring they r so long
2006-01-07 [Miss Lilu]: mhm....just as long as you follow them.
2006-01-11 [magickchik]: why does it matter? yes,we all love cats, but not JUST cats!geez.ther
2006-01-12 [Sunrose]: You can love other things, just don't put anything up that violates these rules.
2006-01-18 [magickchik]: i understand.but
2006-01-19 [Sunrose]: That's because you should only upload things you made yourself :)
2006-01-19 [magickchik]: what if i get permission to use other ppls.? is that o.k.?
2006-01-20 [Sunrose]: No, still not ok.
2006-01-20 [magickchik]: ........sensel
2006-04-09 [Hedda]: Hm... No rule against dolls and assembled images here.
2006-04-09 [Sunrose]: They contain random images.
2006-04-09 [Hedda]: Well... It depends on how you see it when it comes to things like letters and effects on them.
2006-04-10 [Sunrose]: So you are saying the rules should be clarified?
2006-04-10 [Hedda]: I don't know. I don't mind a doll here and there, but of course it looks crappy if they are everywhere. Members should view photos of themselves and cats!
2006-04-11 [Sunrose]: If you allow one, they spread like a virus because they're so easily made :P
2006-05-18 [Frogger33]: makes sense
2006-06-21 [magickchik]: just leave it alone! they're JUST pictures. there's a lt more to a person that cats. I LOVE MY KITTIES,but there's a lot more to everyone,y'kno
2006-06-22 [Paz]: We quite understand that there is more to everyone than just cats. However, uploading random images offline that a) do not belong to you b) you edited/claimed work as your own are not allowed. It's illegal to steal images, we're not worried we're just following the law. Some artists consider their images being used as art theft as well.
2006-06-22 [Paz]: So you can upload art or photos that you've made or a personal friend made (and you've obtained permission from) instead of using random images
2006-06-25 [Hedda]: [Paz]: No, that's not why we don't allow random images in houses. Those copied images are mostly free to use, but it looks plain ugly to have all over people's houses. If people want to put up a lot of images that can be seen anywhere, they can use Elfpack, Myspace or what-ever.
2006-06-25 [Hedda]: But if you want plenty of free to use images to use (elsewhere) here are some: http://elftown
2006-06-28 [Paz]: Unless it's stolen art that is claimed as the member's when it isn't ;P
2006-07-02 [magickchik]: i didn't mean to offend anyone,i was just curious.
2006-07-02 [Paz]: well, we were just explaining ;)
