[As he slowly got up from his throne like chair she noticed that he walked with a slight limp. He came upon her like dark consuming the light, a bird to its prey and in that instant she was locked in his forever stare.
He put his arms around her and held on tight making sure to never break eye contact. She slowly fell into a state that would be considered bliss had it been in any other situation, this particular one...made it the biggest mistake of her life.
He placed his hand over her heart making his beat in time with hers, drawing in deep breaths he stole her energy her life force, her memories, and thoughts.
He let her down and watched as she lay there dying, loving every moment of it. Pain brought him happiness..a feeling he hadn't had in ages..ever since his love left him...
Once she was dead he burned her and swept off to bed, to cry himself to sleep and to dream of his forgotten love.
The sleep came easy for once..like she was in the air around him..He could smell her, taste her, even feel her..
Had she returned to him? He awoke with hope filled eyes only to be let down.."Why must you allude me so? Have I angered my angel that much?" with no reply he lay ed his head back down..
Welcoming the nightmares this time..welcoming all.
As he woke the next morning he heard the sound of foot falls going up the stair towards his room. Quickly he reached for his trusted dagger and swiftly moved near the door. When the door began to open he closed in on the intruder holding the blade just above it's throat. After the brief few moments when he thought he would actually kill the person he looked to see who it was....She had returned! His love had come back to him, or was this another trick his sadistic mind was playing on him?
He breathed her name and when she smiled in reply he knew it was her.In his dreams she never fully smiled..and now he could see all her beautiful white teeth. He pulled the blade back in disbelief and fell with a crash to the floor, she walked near and held him. "For a minute there I thought I was wolf food...You should really look before you strike, or did you really mean to act tack me so?" she laughed as she spoke. "No, I never meant to hurt you, you know I could never do that, not intentionally at least." While they hugged he took in every scent of her and prayed that she would never leave.
"I hope you don't think me rude to ask, but why and where did you go?"
"My love I never wanted to leave you but I had to..and it's hard to explain and I can't tell you where I went.but you do have to know something..."
With pleading eyes he waited..."I'm married now" ]
